In order to share my growing enthusiasm for learning technology with my colleagues I organised a workshop session to promote a range of free and what I call ‘easy access’ tools.I was keen to see which tools might be of interest to my colleagues and if they would begin to use any of them in their teaching. The slide on the right summarises the e learning tools that I demonstrated in the workshop.
I was delighted to hear that following the workshop Lee Neville, our Head of English and Maths had promptly begun to use Blendspace to create some distance learning materials for use on GCSE English programmes. These materials were desperately needed as several staff in the GCSE department were off sick at the time. So, Lee’s use of one of the tools to meet an urgent teaching need was very valuable feedback. Click below to hear my reflections on the CPD workshop –
